“I wish the film would have shown more of Rapunzel’s problems. Gothel constantly put her down, manipulated, and controlled her. After putting up with that for 18 years, with no one else to talk to, you’d think she’d have a lot of mental scaring and issues. As someone who had a mother like Gothel, I found it disappointing that they didn’t tap into this like they should have. It could have led to her healing, growing, and led to a more intimate moments between Rapunzel and Flynn.”
